Brian Spears is the Poetry Editor of The Rumpus (www.therumpus.net). His first book, titled A Witness in Exile, will be published in 2010 by Louisiana Literature Press. A Stegner Fellow from 2003-2005, his poetry has appeared in or is forthcoming from Quarterly West, Center, and The Southern Review, among others. He teaches literature and creative writing at Florida Atlantic University.
