Michelle Herman's most recent books are Dog, a novel, and The Middle of Everything, a collection of personal essays and memoirs. Her new collection of essays, Stories We Tell Ourselves, is due out in spring 2013, and includes the novella-length essay, "Dream Life," which first appeared in condensed form as a Kindle single. She is the director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Ohio State, where she also directs a graduate interdisciplinary program in the arts.
